1: Status of the Service components

Description/dissussion of the status of the service conponents. Everyone has responsability should shortly report the status of the component.

Main components:

• Windows VMs (Erik)
  • NTR
• Monitoring (Erik, Petter, Martin)
  • In order to monitor the SNMP-trafic (port 161) between the zabbix-proxy to all teh physical machine should be open. A "request was done to DES by opening a ticket and waiting eventually for a replay. In teh meantime Petter found that the problem would not be solved even if the port 161 would be opened. The problem relay on the fact that the SNMP protocol talk ipv4, but only ipv6 is allowed inside TSD. Petter has requested the feature to the RedHat people. • Linux VMs/RHEV  (Martin)
  • Petter had problem wth tsd-prism (report created in rst/ incident reports)
• VMWare Rig (Erik, Martin)
  • Migartion process: After the thinlinc, there will be the implementation of the provisioning in order to migrate completely to VMWare.
  • Every machine accessible to every user from VWSphere (https://utv.uio.no/jira/browse/TDRFIT-108): the easy scalable solution would be to implement a script at machin creation level (orkestrator) (middle-low priority) Fix manual. Really needed? Endringråd.
  • Bug in Cerebrum: we cannot any longer register machien by giving the ipv6 adress. The problem has been solved but the cerebrum people are waiting the next sprint to relise the new code.
• FX/NEXUS/RADIUS (Petter, Gard)
  • NTR
• AD (Erik)
  • Reboot of tsd-dc01: After patching the dc01 did not reboot correctly. An hard reboot was needed. Erik will write the incident report.
  • There is no backup of the dc: weakness. Petter shoudl come up with a solution (2 VMWare machine plus one physical that is the backup of one of the two?)
• Celebrum (Estephan)
  • NTR
  • Brukerinfo: Gard tested and it works for p01 and p11. Need to rewrite the documentation and the help page.
  • Group moderator: (what is the status for PSI Juornal project? Francesca will ask Gard.) We need to have a groupmoderator functionality in brukerinfo. Francesca and Gard will produce a use case to introduce teh request to the Cerebrum people.
  • Agreed on the semi authomatic procedure to ingest php file of brukerinfo into TSD. Estephan and Vidar on it.
  • Cerebrum should ask AD in a specific way (2 istances) for the DC to communicate to nivheim/zabbix.
• Colossus (BHM)
  • Cfengine should start up the munge when it is stopped (https://rt.uio.no/Ticket/Display.html?id=1785800)
• Softwares (Ole)
  • Software request: shall we implement a nettskjema for ordering: Francesca and Ole will make the nettskjema to order software on windows servers.
  • Openclinica: we have installed outside and it works and tomorrow will connect to the postgress db. Nihal and Ole will test on the new db-server with 9.4 version of postgresSQL.

Other components' topics (optinal):

• Logs: what shall be logged outside, via mail? Do we need a mailing list for the logs?
  • VMWare has his own monitoring system. It can send log via its own mail server eventually put inside TSD. The solution will be discussed in the future.
  • The zappix instance for HNAS needs to send mail: Francesca will create tsd-logs mailing list.
• Change in the NFS structure: one single filesystem for several projects
• Database upgrade

2: Tickets

Progress report and discussion of the most relevant "hot" tickets.

• RT tsd-utv (the queue is in use, Francesca will clean) -> At teh moment it is used as back-log. But an RT-queue is not a back-log tool. Plus the RT-people wants to clean the queues becuse of too much space used. Francesca will clean. Francesca will create a place to put back-log in the TG webpage. Should the srt be linked in teh future to teh TSD TG webpage? SOme of the content should migrate from the project area to the TSD TG area. Francesca will organize a 1 hour meeting to review of the documentation
